Summary

LightForge’s 3D Visual Effects Course is an accelerated, full-time 12-week program in 3D for visual effects productions.

In a studio environment, industry professionals will guide you through a project-based program, to help you learn the 3D software used by industry today, including practical tips and tricks of the trade. As an integral part of the course, you will build a professional showreel demonstrating your 3D skills. Each morning the tutor will lead you through the day’s subject matter and after lunch, you will put into practice what you have learned. As in the real world, work will be published to Shotgun so end-of-day group reviews (dailies) can be held and notes given.

You will also learn the soft skills needed to succeed in any role in the VFX industry: ability to work in a team; communication and presentation skills; the ability to self-manage and receive feedback constructively.

You will have out-of-class access to the facilities so, whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, you can put in extra hours when needed. After the course, we’ll help you perfect your showreel, plan a fulfilling career path and find potential employers.

Our tutors have extensive industry experience and you’ll also be given support on your personal project and get feedback from a professional currently working in the VFX industry.
